Assist Councils with peer reviews of other parties’ traffic engineering related submissions. Specifics: Provide advice on car-parking layout and access issues. Assess levels of parking supply and utilisation in areas where Council is prepared to allow on-street parking areas to accommodate parking demands associated with a proposed development. Design ramps and circulation access ways to comply with AS2890.1:2004. Prepare turning paths for cars within on-site parking areas and driveways using AutoTURN. Prepare turning paths for heavy vehicles (rigid trucks in loading-bays, semi-trailers in industrial hard stand areas), as per requirements of AS2890.2:2002 using AutoTURN. Prepare ground-clearance diagrams. Certify access and car-parking layouts as part of a planning application. Assess sight-distance at driveway exits. Carry out intersection operational analyses using vehicle-gap analyses or software such as SIDRA or S-PARAMICS. Carry out road network operational analyses using spreadsheet assignment or software such as SATURN, S-PARAMICS. Prepare concept layout plans of intersections and pedestrian crossings. Carry out street-lighting modelling. Provide advice on street layouts and access configurations for residential and industrial subdivisions.
